Hello,
I am twisting my head around the following issue... with no success so far:
I am aware that the usual way of creating a ground poly requires also the elevation of the ground poly which is supposed to lie on a flatten poly.
However...
Is it possible to create a ground poly that would simply lie on the underlying terrain mesh? (it would copy it irrespective of this mesh elevation points?)
The reason I am trying to achieve this is very simple. I am creating a number of utility cement strips that were used for agricultural air-dusting and these were not usually flat (quite the contrary). Therefore, my goal is to create a ground poly with cement texture that would copy the underlying terrain mesh.
My googling revealed nothing useful so far... only that a possible way would be to create (i) sloped poly and (ii) the ground poly with the same elevation points. This is a method I would like avoid
Thank you for any tips. I have not posted this thread elsewhere so far (i.e. MCX).
