FSX Object Placement Tool problem.......

Hi,
Can anyone please help with the following problem?
I have created some additional scenery with FSX Object placement tool while viewing an add on airport created by ADE9x.
The scenery appeared on screen and was positioned correctly with the mouse.
The whole thing was then saved as a XML file by the “save scenery” option.
The resulting .XML fie was then compiled into a .BGL scenery file.
I placed the scenery BGL file in the Scenery folder of my add on airport and reloaded it with “add area “option in scenery library to replace the original
When run the original airport appears minus the new scenery.
How should the new file be loaded or can it placed in a folder or folders manually.
Cheers,
DGB

You can manually add BGL files to any active scenery folder and they will show up in FS after a scenery reload (clicking OK in the Scenery Library in FSX, restart in FS9). No need to remove/add a scenery layer to trigger that.

Object placement tool issue solved..........

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the info.
I solved the problem by re-compiling the airport in ADEx9 with the .blg fie in "Scenery" folder and placing copy of the same .blg in "World scenery" folder in the FSX main folder.
After a long time trying to install all the sections of the "Tools" menue for in game use I am glad to have finally made it work.
Merry Christmas,
Cheers
DGB

There is no need to have it twice. Just look for your ADE-settings to which folder ADE will compile. As Tom already said, you may want to choose the correct place yourself (this might be the folder "Addon Scenery/Scenery") and ADE will remember this for the next time. The only exception is when you are changing an airport elevation as then the related file (and only this one) will be compiled into the World/Scenery folder the rest as described before.
