• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello all, First I must say that FSX Planner is awesome!!!! :D

I just have a couple of questions.

Question 1. I am having trouble with understanding how to remove autogen trees from my tarmac. I understand that you must use another program to do this something like SbuilderX but I am having a hard time understanding how to apply it. If you have any suggestions that would be great...

Question 2. I have a fuel truck that when I call for it using the shift+F it states that it is on it's way but then just disappears from the spot. When I call for it again it states that there are no fuel trucks at the airport. I must be missing something simple but I am not sure what.

Any suggestions would be great..

Hi Elwood,

The fuel trucks need to have a network of vehicle taxiways to get around to airport. If they don't they won't be able to go anywhere. Without seeing your airport I can't say whether or not you do have a valid network of vehicle taxiways. But that would be the first thing I would check to make sure everything will work.

Thank you for the response.

I have included a picture so you can see what I am talking about. just for testing I only have the 1 path and when I try and fill up I always park my play in the one spot where the path connects.

Does anything jump out at you from the picture? I must be close but missing something simple..

I assume that the path from the fuel parking spot to the aircraft parking spot is of the type VEHICLE? Also it looks like it connects to the parking spot. This is not the best way to do things. In needs to make a connection in the taxi link that connects the parking spot to the taxi network. Also have you checked to make sure that all your nodes are in fact connected and there are not any orphans?

Now I just have to figgure out how to get rid of the trees on my taxiway.. I have created a exclude for all autogen buildings and that is working great. I just don't know what I am doing when it comes to the trees. I have downloaded fsx_kml and sbuilderx but I just can't seem to make sense of them.

You will need to create a terrain exclusion to remove autogen trees. They cannot be removed with an exclusion rectangle. Since the current version of FSX Planner does not include these you would need to use SBuilderX or FSX KML

Check the SBuilderX forum at www.ptsim.com and FSX KML has a WIKI entry on this site with information about how to use it.

A good source of tutorials for many FS scenery design tools is www.scenery.org/tutorials.htm
