• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

General Purpose ScenProc Script

Hi,

The log looks OK. But 700 vegetation polygons and 5000 buildings is not a lot for hundreds of agn tiles. So it might be your area is not very dense in OSM with data.

This is area I'm using.

Maybe I'm making mistake -- I did my tile at ZL16 -- do I need to do it at ZL12?

I'm XP guy so I'm using to doing my ortho in 16-18 but video that OP posted he is doing it at ZL12.

AH.
I figured it out -- it's OSM.
I started looking at OSM files that were downloaded for Scenproc and one of them (area where I am at) has literally nothing; no houses, trees, buildings, roads, etc. I then opened another OSM (it downloaded 4 of them) and it had everything; OSM looked normal. I loaded P3D to that airport in area and there were buildings.

I'm seeing notice on OSM Java app that they are overloaded--wondering if that's why my OSM data is messed up.

Update; so I'm good now.
Not really sure why but for some reason I got cross-eyed on OSM.
It did not download all the OSM files for the tile -- for some reason the Ortho4XP app saw some files and continued on so it was literally doing autogen for quarter of the tile.

Thanks for entertaining me -- now to find better script to add more stuff.

Glad to hear you solved the issue :)

knowing nothing about the script and programming, but can we adjust any parameter(s) so the program will read and put more trees and buildings, we the processing scenProc in FSET?

Hi,

Of course you can modify the script to change how the data is processed. But you need to know which attributes your data has so that you can define the correct filters. A general script that works on any data does not exist.
