• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Help with excludes

I am using exclude builder to correct scenery errors in FS2004 and have run into a problem.

I have removed a village that does not exist in real life and although ExcBuilder removes the buildings and trees it leaves a footprint where the buildings were and I cannot get rid of them. This results in a visual scar on the ground that I cannot cover up with the correct landclass.

Does anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong? Am I using the right program to get the job done?

I am new to scenery modification and need all of the help that I can get.

What sort of footprint? Can you post a screenshot? If it is a larger area covering the village then you may need to modify the landclass.

If you want to add a screenshot to a post use the manage attachments button below the message entry wscreen or click the paper clip in the top tool bar

OK that looks like a land class problem. To remove this you will need to use a tool like SBuilder that can change the landclass of the area from urban to something else that matches the surrounding country side

Thanks for the guideance

Thanks Jon,

I tried changing the landclass using EZ-Landclass but they would not work.

I will give SBuilder a try. Right now I am working my way through your tutorials on SBuilder which I wish to thank you for.
