• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 HF2 libraries

Many thanks for all your efforts with this, Jon; it looks good. :)

I'm also looking forward to seeing what HF3 brings when it is ready. ;)

As I said in another thread, I am thick.
............

How do I create a new library in LOM? (Step by step please).

Come back Helli Hauck :stirthepo
I appreciate Jon's ongoing efforts with documentation, which helps on most topics ...if he takes time away from coding to prepare content. ;)

But I agree that Helli Hauck made some wonderfully detailed contributions here over the years... he is especially missed now with MSFS' RTM. :scratchch

Hello George and Gary

I am really moved by your kind remarks, which I found today by chance.
Well, times have changed, haven't they?
When I assisted Jon with the manuals I was competent with FS9 and FSX.
Therefore AFCAD, LOM and ADE (and others) were a logical extension.
Now, with MSFS 2020, I am still struggling with flying, handling the airplanes and other basics. Scenery design and SDK's are still far away.
Of course, digging deeper it is tempting, in particular since the ASOBO gurus seem to be only at the beginning themselves.
But most importent of all, Jon doesn't seem to be crying for help.
However I will start with silly questions or timid contributions in the forum whenever I feel more competent with MSFS 2020

Hi Helli !

Very glad to see you here in the fsdev forums again. :)

We are all striving for a better understanding of the new MSFS SDK methods, and l look forward to seeing your posts again when you have occasion to share some insights with us on the new FS.

Hello Jon!
Your "BTW" above does not surprise me, an ADE for MSFS2020 will require a lot of programming from scratch - with all the unknowns of this new Sim.
But where could I help?
For doing research and backward engineering of the STK's intricacies you have - as I see - many helpers, much more experienced than me.
You may recall, that my proficiency was in testing all details of ADE before writing about it for laymen.

Concerning the new ADE2020, I am presently trying to find and follow its roots here in the forum.
The "Search"-function of the present FSDeveloper still confuses and sidetracks me 🤣
But I will be on line eventually.

An update of the (old) manual to your present ADE version (1.76 ?), which was lamented here is obviously still not part of your philosophy.

But maybe you have something up your sleeve ?
