• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

We have just redesigned the entire site to accomodate the new Aircraft, Simconnect, Missions sections.

How do you like the new look and feel?

Sleek! I like it very much!

This is going to be a great place, I can feel that :)
Kudos to you guys!!

Cheers,
Jeff

Much needed and much appreciated :)

I like the look and feel as well. The only thing I liked in the old one was to be able to see the new posts since my last visit and get to them quickly. Not sure I can do that now - but then my wife is always telling me that I cannot see what is right in front of my face

Though I'm actually not your wife :D how about this: "User CP ... FAQ ... Members List ... Calendar ... New Posts ... Search ..." :)

Looks and feels great - simply reading all the famous names inside the Members List makes me happy! :)

Something real big is growing here! :wizard:

Thanks Thorsten - right in front of my eyes - but at least I am maintaining my usual appalling standard of observation :) :)

Totally bitchin. :p And even better, Websence hasn't found it yet so I can actually get to it from work unlike Scenerydesign.org.

Hi Folks,

I'm definitely not new to Flight Sim but with the advent of Simconnect I'm very new to programming :) . I look forward to perusing this site on a regular basis as I strive to learn .NET and the Simconnect interface. Thanks for setting this place up... I have no doubt I'll not only learn a lot but will eventually be able to contribute!

Hi Doug, great to see you around. :)

Best,

Owen

Hey Owen,

Not sure if you remember me... I met you at Oshkosh this year. I live in the Atlanta area and am in the aeronautical training business. I look forward to learning all about SimConnect and expect this to be a very helpful resource.

Hope the family is well... later!

Hi Doug,

Of course I remember you - you work for Lockheed, right? :)

Yes, your memory is working well! BTW, congrats on becoming a Flight Sim MVP! That's quite an achievement. Let me know if you're still interested in a C-130J sim ride. It's an engineering sim used to test C-130J software block updates. In it's prior life it was a full 6 degrees of motion sim but the legs have been deactivated since they're not needed for block update testing. The visual is still quite functional although not nearly as nice as FSX :) .

Anyway, let me know and I'll see what I can work out.

Hi Doug!

I'm afraid that invitation is going to have to stand for a while. I'm doing good right now to even get out to my local airfield to bum a ride from the local pilots! I appreciate it though, and I hope to one day be able to make good on that invitation!

Best,

Owen
