• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,
I wonder how FlyTampa does this in Montreal Scenery. I attached a picture that my airplane stop over the service vehicle road and those cars waiting for me.
How they do that?
It must be some simm connect things, I wonder.

Wonderful! I wish I could do that.

Hi,

I don't know how they do it. With simconnect it would be possible. But the older traffic code also has commands to check if a certain area is occupied by an aircraft or not, so that could also be used.

This is a question I also asked myself and tried different things, maybe this can help you, however I do not know if this was the default traffic, AES(-Lite) or FlyTampa.

Just position yourself on a FlyTampa airport and use the Move function and place your airplane on the road where those cars drive. Try it with engines running, engines off, cold & dark, all lights off and then switch each light on her own on. If I am not mistaken they are waiting since you do not have the position lights on or something like this, but I am not anymore 100% sure.

The big Aerosoft airports do this as well; big busses and cargo transporters stop for you.

With Aerosoft airports, the cars even have flashing turn signals when they stop to make a turn at stop lights....

So you think it might be like AI, don't you?

FlyTampa does have it also. Every vehicle have flashing light before turning. Moreover each car reduce the speed before turning around the corner, then regains the speed back again.

Very nice.

I think it is AES Lite. Should be based on Vista Mare core by Maurizio Gavioli.

I believe Aerosoft may license the software, but I have no idea who to contact about it.

Ah if this is AES-Lite and if FlyTampa does use this, then you should contact Oliver Pabst for it.

OK, it must be AES lite. Since the models and textures are the same.

Has anyone tried to ask flyTampa guys directly about this btw?

I am 95% sure its AES lite but I would like a solid confirmation, if somebody knows them.

It is...there are several AESLite-CYUL-blahblah.bgl files.

And IIRC, most of those files utilize Area15 dynamic scenery somewhere within.

How can we get this in our project?

I did ask in AES forum and no one answer.

Well first of all we must separate two things. There is AESLight and AES.
AESLight is the traffic of cars/trains/monorailways/... around the airport and AES are the catering cars, the buses, the fuel trucks which dock onto your airplane. For sure you will not get an answer on the AES forums how this works. AESLight has (as far as I know) the monopol on this sort of products since nobody else did something similiar to FSX (except Uk2000 if I am not mistaken, however he is in my opinion far away from what the AES-team did). And for sure if you have something nobody else has, you will surely not share your knowledge to everyone since then your monopole will be destroyed.

If you want AES on your scenery, simply write to the Aerosoft support asking them for implementing AES. This is (normally) for free since the customers will pay this with their AES credits.
For AESLight (as far as I know) you need to pay as developer on your own. Means, contact Aerosoft support, ask them what you want to get into your scenery and they will do you a price and then you need to pay the bill.

Thanks, Kevin. I'll contact Oliver for that.
Do you know how much it would cost?

Well the costs are for AESLight depending on what you want/demand. There is no upper limit for this.
AES is as said more or less free since customers pay it with their credits.
