• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

why???

thanks for the help!

You should set at least the texture path so that MCX has a chance to display the textures.

Did you export as a COLLADA file? If so, there should already be a folder with the same name as your object, containing the textures. MCX will read these automatically.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest development version of MCX - the latest stable version is very old and should not be used (IMO).

Hope this helps,

Hi,

As suggested I would try the latest development release if you didn't do that already.

If that still shows the problem, can you send me your file for debugging?

Hello to all boys

yes, I create the file with SketchUp 8 and then export as a 3D model and save it as a COLLADA file (. dae) and in the same folder, there are also textures MCX but not charged.

I have version 1.2.0.0 of MCX

The photo above was a test, this is my main project :) the project is different but the problem is the same

For arno
I attach the log.txt and can be useful if I attach my project in COLLADA (. dae)

Thank you all for your help

You have the old "stable" version. Download the latest development release from the sticky thread above.

Hope this helps,

Hi tgibson

thanks now I downloaded the latest version 1.3.0.0 but I have the same problem. Perhaps it is a problem in the scenary did with SketchUp 8?

I loaded your boat into my copy of MCX, and it looks fine. The textures did not load for some reason, but the model of the ship looks intact.

Perhaps it is a video card/video driver issue on your computer? Try exporting your model to FSX and see what it looks like there.

Hope this helps,

thanks for your test now I'm trying to figure out if it is a problem of my video card.

i created the file .bgl.and .xml of my boat, I use ADE I open my airport, but when I do "Import Bgl" nothing happens.

maybe I'm wrong to do something??

My apologies for the trouble and thanks for your help

Read the section on adding Library objects to ADE then,... I can't remember the actual section but its there.
Look for LOM or Library Object Manager with in the manual of ADE.

If you mean you tried to import it as an airport BGL file, that won't work. If you created it as a library object, then use the LOM (Library Object Manager) in the Tools menu to add the object as stated above.

If you are not going to use this ship anywhere else and want it to be included in the ADE BGL file, you can export it as an MDL file instead and add the MDL file in ADE. Then you only have 1 BGL file instead of two.

But if you are going to use this ship in any other sceneries, then it's usually best to add it as a library object.

Hope this helps,
