• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

Inporting object library

Hello,

I managed to work with my favorite 3d soft, C4D, to make objects.
I export them as Collada file and then convert them in .mdl with the last beta version of ModelConverterX
I then create a library with the last beta version of LibraryCreator, and put the mdl in it and of course, I save and control that there are no error message.
Everything is working in P3Dv2 version with all path OK.

Then I add my library in ADE and add the object in the project i'm working on.
Problem : I have 0mx0m invisible object, impossible to scale it of course.

Where did I go wrong ?

Hi and welcome

Can you check the actual footprint of your object? When a library is loaded into ADE then the footprint is read from the model file. If these values are zero then it will show zero. The screenshot below shows the ADE Library Object Manager. The X and Y values are the footprint values.

Can you also confirm that you have the latest version of ADE 1.61.5220?

Thank you for answering !
I'm using now the last version of ADE but things remain the same.
The foot print is 0.00 or maybe 0.01x0.01
and the object is invisible.
I made an other thread to see if the problem is to be find with Library converterXML or ModelconverterX.

OK - well at least we may narrow it down a little
