• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Installer not showing FS2004 as option

Hey all,

Anyone else having issues with people not being able to install into FS2004 when the option exists in your installer? I have a plane (Kodiak) which has all the versions of FSX, plus all versions of P3D including V4 now, and also FS2004, and its in there, but people are saying its not.

Any thoughts on why this is happening with them? I use the SecureTeam InstallCreator. It works fine on my rig, OS is Win7 Ultimate. Anyone hear of odd issues with such a thing happening, where FS2004 is kept from appearing in a version of Windows?

I do a lot of trouble-shooting. This has me stumped.

Many thanks for any input.

Are they sure they have the proper registry entries for FS2004? I assume that's where the installer checks to see if they have FS2004 installed? They could try refreshing those entries by using the Flight1 Registry Fix program.

Thanks Tom. I didnt know about that.

My thoughts are, that it doesnt need the sim installed at the first part of the installer run. It shows all options. At least it does on mine. I do not have FS2004 installed, and I still get the option to install that.

Quite a list of installers... Glad they do not have to match versions of Windows.
