• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Is my runway to short?

I update EGJB, EGJJ and EGJA only with EGJA I have problems
The aircraft gets clearance and ATC says switch to ground and the aircraft is disappeared
The runway has a length of 910 m X 18 m, it has hold short, has a start, all the taxi links are connected , no errors with the faultfinder.

Aircrafts are a Britten Norman BN2A Mklll-2 Trislander and a Cessna 402B.

Is there a way to find out how long a runway must be for a specific aircraft?
Or is this a try and error?

Generally, if an AI aircraft disappears immediately after getting clearance, it means that there is no taxipath from the parking spot to the active runway start point having a hold short within the requisite distance of the runway.

I give up.

EGJA has three runways two grass runways and one asphalt runway.
I have removed the grass runways and everything going fine.
Now i need to make two grass runways only for the show.:rolleyes:

My runway was not to short,for the Britten Norman BN2A Mklll-2 Trislander i can i think use a runway from 600 m.

If you create a runway then ATC may use it and if it does, your plane will disappear if there are no taxiways to that runway. Create some sort of polygons for your fake runways; do not use a "real" one.

MS did not code a runway that is too short for a plane to takeoff. The B747 or A380 will takeoff on a 100 Metre (308.4 ft.) runway if that is the only runway at the airport and there is a valid AI flightplan. It is up to us to make sure the runway length supports the type airplane we made a FP for and the plane rotates before it has run out of runway.

As previously posted, if the plane disappears the taxi network is incomplete.
