FS2004 Issue when exporting from .DAE to FS2004 .MDL

Hi!

I'm beggining to make some models to myself for FS2004 and i'm having a problem when I want to export a .DAE file (made it whith Blender) to .MDL for FS2004.

When I modify the properties in the material editor to add a night texture and export it to .MDL, when I later import that generated .MDL, the properties are not what they should be.

For example: when i change the emissive mode from AdditiveNighOnly to Blend, after the export, when i import it back to MCX, it ruturns to AdditveNightOnly instead to stay on Blend, so obviuosly, the result is no night texture.

I'm using the latest development vesion of MCX, but i try with the stable and with version 1.30 and happen the same.

Where could be the error? Maybe with the installed SDK?

Thanks in advance for any help and i'm sorry for my english!

AdditiveNightOnly and Blend are FSX and beyond properties, they have no effect in FS2004. In the MCX Material Editor there is a drop down box in the upper right corner. Set that to FS2004 and you can see what is useful in that sim.

Hope this helps,

According to this, Blend is standard for FS2004 and thats why i change it

And also i tried to changed to the options only for FS2004 but still the same.

Thank you again!

I forgot that Arno used FSX terminology for those, us FS9 types use different terms. I don't think that this setting is retained in the MDL, so MCX has no way to know what it is.

Blend is only used for aircraft, Additive Night Only is used for scenery. If you are creating scenery you would need the latter. But I believe that MCX changes this automatically, depending on if you create a scenery or an aircraft MDL (they are different).
