• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Its beeeeeeg!

How many man years of development do you think there is in Flight Simulator?

I think its probably around 10,000...

One man... would take that many years to make a system like this?

Well it has been in developmnet for a long time ;)

Hi,

The series is about 25 years old. But I do not think that 400 man have been working fulltime on it during that time. At the end the ACES studio was more like 100 men in size. So I would guess around 2000 manyear.

That sounds about right... and since Arno seems to have answered the original question, I feel like its an appropriate time to completely derail this topic by saying the following.

CrashTestDummy, every time you post on the forum here, the first thing I think about is this song:

Well, thank you for helping me waste 4:01 of my life... :rotfl:

Its quicker if you speed it up ;)

Oh, so that's the secret!

Why is it that as one ages, time apparently speeds up in inverse proportion to the body's tendency to slow down?

Somehow it seems like we celebrated Easter just a few weeks ago, and here it is again!

Sounds like something Einstein could explain if he were around. Nevertheless empirically I agree 100% :)

Man, its like 2 days ago it was Sunday, and its already Sunday again.

Has time been some how tampered with?? lol..

It's that darn supercollider that did it, I'm telling ya!

"It has been successfully used for operating nofer trunnions. In addition, whenever a barescent skor motion is required, it may be employed in conjunction with a drawn reciprocating dingle arm to reduce sinusoidal depleneration."

Here's documented proof of what happens when you mess with Mother Nature! You run into Quantum Entanglement...

That wouldn't have happened if they'd simply installed a Heisenberg Compensator from Sun MicroSystems...
