• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

If you mean besides figure out why some layers don't like to show up on reload - no :) I've hacked a solution but for now guides and links are stuck to a single layer. But that's not really an issue for me at the moment.

I have added it to the issue manager so I do not forget about it [10267]

every time the auto-save triggers, when you next go to manually save ADE pops up the save dialog and then asks if you want to overwrite the file. Saving manually in between auto-saves simply saves the file.

I will investigate = added as [10277]

when zoomed in close, if you click on the parking placement button it zooms you out (proper behavior) and displays all hidden objects (not proper behavior). You have to press Ctrl+D to hide them again - they are not actually unhidden (can't select any re-displayed aprons with Ctrl+A, for example)

Thanks Drew. Logged - [10279]. I can't replicate it so far.

I have found that issue [10279] also happens after you center on objects when selecting them from one of the list dialogs.

Fellow ADE users, let Jon know if you can replicate this as well or not.

File these two under Minor:

- pressing the Home key to return the view to north doesn't keep it centered on your current location and you end up off to one side a ways

- selecting a parking spot type from the drop-down switches to the parking spot placement cursor but you can't actually use it until you click the button for it.

I think I may have reported both of these before but just wanted to make sure

I have updated the notes to this bug with your feedback - thanks Drew

How do I get the compile error window to stay for more than 3secs?

Shez

Well as far as I know it will not go until you dismiss it. However if you have a compiler error then is the Issue Manager button Red? If so you should be able to fix the problem: https://scruffyduck.clarify-it.com/d/wjcr96

Failing that please send me the log file - log.tx1 that will be in the relevant version folder inside ADE.

Thanks Jon, I see the errors from the red button now. I don't understand this latitude maximum error on exclusion rectangles?

Shez

I assume that you have an error where the latitude maximum is less that latitude minimum for an exclusion rectangle. the compiler requires that the decimal latitude value of the top of a rectangle (N) is greater than the latitude of the bottom of the rectangle (S). It requires that the longitude of the right side (E) is greater than the longitude of the left side (W). This is a convention. I thought that ADE did not allow this to happen for exclusions it creates. However if you have imported them then it is possible. The safest way to draw an exclusion in ADE is from Top Left to Bottom Right.

Jon,

I think there is an error. I am drawing top left to bottom right but when I try and resize it the exclusion rectangle seems to mirror to the bottom of the screen and then the error occurs. It appears that only a redraw of the exclusion rectangle will work.

Can't hide the exclusion square.

I'm trying to do some work with this beta version:
Versions:

Application 01.52.4710.20710
Engine 04.52.4710.20706

Acknowledgements:

University of Maryland - Piccolo Graphics Engine
Paul Henty - FSUIPC Client DLL for .NET

, but , for some reason I can not hide the exclusion square which I placed over the airport to exclude the generic buildings.
The only method I can use is to assign the exclusion before compiling.

Any thoughts?
Joe Mc
