• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Looks Great! (As usual :D )
Nice turnaround there, and good luck with the suspended runway, that'll be fun fun with FS2004 :banghead::banghead: ! Keep it up! :)

Dude! That is EXCELLENT! Cant wait to see it in the sim!

Keep up the great work.

Crashgate3,

This project is stunning. Your commitment replicating the terrain mesh and elevations are like nothing I have ever seen before. Your night lighting and subtle details like the shadows the lamp posts cast look brilliant. Textures and models look extremely well built. Highly impressed.

Haha.. lots...:D

About 25000 so far, but I've not put any LODs in it yet.

Its perfectly smooth and playable though.

Hi

So how is this great scenery coming along? The homepage has not been updated for a long time... :)

Hi technicolor,

this is looking gorgeous !!!! Have you already tested it with FSX? Whenever you need somebody for such a test - just give me a hint :D

A bit of an update.

After some troubles getting it to work, I've managed to get the rendered night-lighting to work and it's, well.. I'll let you judge for yourselves. :D

Love It!

Hey, my first post in this forum. Those are better than professional lights! I love them.

Can I ask, how you rendered them? so I can render them on my coming project of Jinnah International airport in Karachi.

I love all the night lights, brilliant job.... best ever. First time I am looking at such a professional night time work.

Sarmad.

What an amazing bit of scenery! nice to see so much detail go into something like that. I am really looking forward to seeing more on this project.

All the best,

Alex

Absolutely phenomenal! The daytime textures are incredible and the night time textures make it look real! WOW!

Really nice looking. I just sat there and thought: Wow!

And once again I see someone who made this special looking building textures I try to create for months now but never get done right.

Is the nightlighing on the buildings also rendered? I had the same idea for Frankfurt some time ago. Just take the day texture and some glowing windows and let C4D do the rest ;-)

Yes, they're all rendered - I'm not *that* good at drawing.. :D

3DSMax has a 'render to texture' function that will take an existing texture map, and 'bake' the light and shadow onto it from the scene you place it in.
