• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Well I have finally got some ground polys all lined up. But now, how on earth do you get all the parking spots lined up when you can't see the photographic reference below? Do you just have to keep lifting it able the apron polys to see where they are lined up? This is difficult!:banghead:

the only way I think is in Ade, conect to Fsx, and with any aircraft go the ground poly parking spot and you draw the lines. it's no so difficult.

Yes, whatever tool you are using, just move your plane into the desired position in overhead view, and place the parking spot center at that location in your airport creation program.

No, my friend, you have to use Ade, once you have placed you ground polygon, you have to open the airport in Ade, and from there connect to Fsx, so you could draw the lines or spots, watching the ariplane position. sorry but the my english is very limited. I can't explain it better.

Oh I get you!

After putting all of the marking and polys into FSX, you then use ADE to move the parking places over the ground polygons while connected!

Thank you kindly sir!

Perhaps you can also help me...

I have created a template and as outlined in the "how to create taxiway tutorials" but when I turn my lines into splines and loft them with the template object and put my texture onto it it doesn't map the texture correctly.... it wont run all the way along regardless of how I map it.

The loft must have some error, you have to draw all in the gmax top viewport.
You can texture the loft like any other object. you will see the loft are very practical and very easy to make. greetings.
