P3D v4 MCX - Scenebuilder, incorrect placement

Hi all,

I have experienced alignment issues when using the scene builder wizard and exporting to P3D V4.4.

1) Firstly, I placed my Calvert approach lights in sim director (Image 1 shows how this placement BGL aligns)

2) Then I run scene build wizard, providing the library BGL and the placement BGL (Generated from Sim Director)

3) My resulting combined scene file is poorly aligned when loaded into sim (Image 2)

IMAGE 1 (Sim director placement):

IMAGE 2 (MCX Scene builder output):

Any ideas as to why this occurs? Is this perhaps a bug @arno - or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
J

Hi,

Did you select round earth output in the scene builder wizard?

Just enabled the round earth output option - the result is even more odd

1) In MCX the combined scene now looks like this?

2) In Sim the object is now not placed at all

Hi,

That looks weird. You only loaded the object placement of those objects and the relevant libraries? Maybe you can show the settings of the wizard.

I was thinking the same. The first BGL is the library containing the objects, the second is the sim director placement of the light poles.

The input looks correct to me. And without the round earth output it looks better. So it might be a bug with this specific object. Would it be possible to send me the files for debugging?

Thanks for confirming, I thought it was perhaps a bug. Interestingly I have actually noticed this alignment issue with all scene builder attempts I have done with many different objects so far. So I am sceptical that this is a particular bug with my object, I am happy to send over these test files to you personally - do you have an email?

I have send you a private message with my email address.

I have not seen this kind of weird output before, so it must be a bug somewhere.
