• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX missing objects

Hi,

I installed 1.66 and noticed that I miss certain objects. I did the import of objects again and that indeed added my specific objects to the Generic Buildings directory but I used to use objects with a name beginning with VEH. i.e. the VEH ParkingLot Big used to show up when searching on VEH.
Now I have no results anymore.
I cannot copy it from an older AFCAD and it works, but what happened to these objects?

What can I do to completely import the objects from 1.55?

Thanks!
Menno

Did you use the Import Function available on the first page of the new user wizard?

Hi Menno,

go here and to the following pages to take a look at the objects you want to find. IN ADE you will find all the library objects starting with VEH, for example 'Veh_ParkingLot_Big_03', with the Library Object Mnager (can be selected under 'Tools').

LOM_02.1.jpg

Just print VEH into the empty box (1) and press 'Find Text' (2).

Thanks for your replies.
I guess I should have restarded ADE after having used the import function. VEH did not result in anything first time when searching but after a restart all objects with VEH show up.

Sorry for the confusion!
Menno
