• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MV-22B Osprey (Release 1.0)

Screenshot 2017-05-05 19.06.14.png
Opening and saving CV-22B_trotstick.dds with DXTBmp fixed the problem for me. FSX-SE, Win7-64.
In my case, in spite of using DXTBmp to open and close CV-22B_trotstick.dds it had no effect on the appearance of the throttle and flight controls.
Perhaps I have misinterpreted Maryadi's suggestion to "...reconvert dds file...".
I first opened the file with DXTBmp and then there were the options of in what format to save it. I tried first bmp and when that didn't work I tried saving it back to dds. No difference. Although the file-size did increase.
Is there some particular way to do the reconversion? Or are the flight controls meant to be all-over gray (see above image)?

you didn't have the issue about texture on throttle and stick. your texture just fine. no need to reconvert

Hi Maryadi,
Oh! And I was thinking it should be a different color! Sorry to have bothered you...

I am new to the community and found this Awesome aircraft by accident and it has been my go to plane for some time in fsx. I would love if someone can point me in the direction where I can download all of the wonderful repaints I have seen.

there several people make their own repaint and posted in their own website.
so far I follow in SOH, as this forum are quite active:

there some repaint are available.

Whenever I put the spoiler axis all the way up, the nacelles remain at 6 degree instead of 0. Even at 160KIAS. Can anyone help me?

I assume you have the SPoilersControl gauge enabled in the panel.cfg ??

It means that your Spoiler Axis isn't calibrated properly (see point4 in the last section of the FlightManual).
Meaning that in the extreme (in your case: fully up) position it's value isn't exactly 0, but still 1% or so extended.

Solutions:
Note:
to verify the results of the below, park your V22 on the ground and set the engines off (wait untill the proprotors have fully stopped), so you can freely manipulate the Nacelles with the Spoiler axis over the full range.

1. In the Axis Calibration menu of FS, set (for the Spoiler axis) the Sensitivity slider to Max and the Nullzone slider to Minimum.

If that doesn't help:

2. If you have the registered version of FSUIPC, callibrate the SPoilerAxis by adding null zones, so the values of the axis in min/max positions is 0 resp. 16384

3. If you don't have the registered version of FSUIPC, there's another trick you can use by manually editting the standard.xml file in which FS saves all the assigned controller and key assignments/sensitivites.
This file is located in the map (depending on your Windows version) in something like:
..\Users\"yourname"\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Control\
- Make sure FSX is not running.
- Make sure you have enabled the checkbox "Show Hidden Files" in Windows Explorer, otherwise you won;t find it.
Open this standard.xml file with Notepad, and find the section:
Code:
            <AxEvent>AXIS_SPOILER_SET</AxEvent>
            <AxScale>-127</AxScale>
            <AxNull>1</AxNull>
In your case -127 probably reads 127 instead of -127, depending if have checked ReverseAxis in the controller axis assignements menu.
If its -127, change it into -130.
If its 127, change it into 130.
And save the file.
What this does: it "stretches" the sensitivity of the axis a little bit, so for a spoiler axis value of 1% (your current minimum value) becomes 0 and 100% in extreme lever positions.

Start FSX and the V22 again, and switch the engines OFF. See note above.
Now you can freely manipulate the nacelles between 0 and 97 degrees when you change the SPoiler lever from min to max v.v.

The above is the best (permanent) solution, but what also works without doing anything of the above:
After you have set (in your case) the spoiler axis fully up in flight, tap the SPoilers key (default: "/" ) twice quickly, which means that FSX overwrites the actual position of the spoiler axis lever (until the lever is moved again).
The first ToggleSpoiler sets the spoiler handle from 1 to 100%, the second from 100 to 0%.Which makes the nacelles go to 0 degrees.

There some people have same issue with choppy, even rotor has fix number for rotation. Still doing research for it

Hi,

If you are interrested in an addon for this MV22B Rel1 package (Hoist operation support, inflight refuelling, tracking/locking AI aircraft, and more), read this post (and follow-up) on SimOuthouse ...

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/104919-new-MV-22B-Osprey-is-released/page12

Designed, and intended for FSX-ACCEL, but most of it will work on P3D too.
