Guid
Hi Jon,
I have been reading your replies to what "Soaring" asked about.
I too have had the same problem. I went to that website you recommended and downloaded some objects that seemed to fit my needs, however when I went to compile I kept getting all kinds of problems.
I found that I had left the "{}" off the GUID when I copied it over from the website, so the system entered them in , but just to a couple of them. Then I found that when I copied them , somehow a space was entered into the GUID title, always in the same place. I fixed that but it kept on coming back as if I had never corrected it at all. I found eventually that the only way around this was to save the XML file after "EVERY" correction, this worked.
Then I found that when I copied it over on some GUID names I copied the space AFTER the GUID name as well, this caused some problems, more fixing, more independant saves.
However I still could not get all of the GUID's to compile correctly so I simply deleted them and the compile went through without a hitch.
I will look around for some more buildings that look like our local airport ones.
If you know of any other sites please let me know.

It would be good if the FSX Planner help files were a bit more informative though. maybe they will fix this as time goes by.
Thanks Jon for being there for Newbies (at FSX Scenery design) like myself.
