• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

New Site for Tips, Tricks, Tutorials and Other Help

This is a new way to display the tips, tricks and tutorials that I have been making over the past couple of years. This collects together all the different stuff that has been produced. It is not a replacement for the excellent manuals that Helli looks after but hopefully it will prove a helpful resource. It has several useful features:
  • Translation: Using Google Translate from the side bar most of the text can be translated. Obviously the screenshots remain in English. I can't vouch for the quality of the translation but....
  • Search: The search box should bring up a list of articles that contain the search terms
  • Tags: Articles will be tagged with the relevant major version that they apply to. This should make it a bit easier to find stuff for recent versions. The What's New Section will always contain articles pertinent to the current released version
  • Comments: You can comment on the individual articles giving feedback and suggestions for improvement. Please note these are moderated ;)
Most of the current articles come from previous work so may be out of date. I have checked them briefly but will update them as time permits.

Please take a look and let me know what you think........
I also applaud the effort to allow a more coherent and convenient access to tips and tricks. I can also state unequivocally that the so-called "Latin" translation is hilarious! :rotfl:
Thanks Bill - I am mighty impressed that your Latin is that fluent and I can imagine that many terms we use were not uppermost in the mind of the Romans while attacking and subduing Gaul :)
