• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

The chaos of the last week and the loss of our web server seems to be behind us (fingers very much crossed :)). We have taken the opportunity to build a new web site for ADE. It is still very much 'lite' but a bit better than the one pager that has been around for the last year. Hopefully it is easy on the eye and you can find what you need!

Nice work Jon, looks nice and clean. I may have missed it but can I suggest a direct link to the forum from the new home page. It would also be less confusing for new visitors who may miss the forum link.

I had to use the contact link then the support forum link. It would be great to see the main home page every time I open the site and a one touch link to the forum too. It was probably due to be added anyway. Either that or I missed another link.

Thanks to one and all in doing the new site and updating the link. It really does look modern and good to use. Reading through the "about ADE" paragraph at the bottom of the home page, I really like the way its been worded.

Absolutely brilliant Jon. Many thanks and so quickly responded to as well. Good luck with the rest of the necessary work all.

Hi Jon,

Looks nice. Only the header looks a bit weird here in Firefox (on Linux). I have not yet tested if it looks better in IE.

Hmmm - let me take a look in Firefox here Arno

Arno

I am using Firefox on XP at the moment and the header looks fine to me. I presume you mean the top of the page?

Hi Jon,

Seems to be OK on XP indeed. But in Linux it looks like the attached image. I guess it is not so important.

Ooops that is a mess. looks like the screen resolution and the font setting are in great disagreement.

Looks like that using Firefox 3 on Vista, as well.

If you use the built in IE emulation, the problem goes away, and all is fine.

OK, it looks like it's a user problem to me.
If you set Tools->Options->Fonts and colors->Advanced->Allow pages to choose their own fonts, the problem is no longer.

Alternately, add the page to the list in Tools->IE Tab Options, which has the same effect for this page, but won't interfere with others.

That's an interesting outcome. I've been having a "look and feel" issue at work with FF, for a client website that I designed, and now I think I've got the answer. Thanks for reporting the issue, Arno - I suspect that FF ships with "use the page's etc unchecked, and hence the errors.
