• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

No Parking?

Ok, Ive finished tweaking an airfield. During the process I deleted all parking spots because of incorrect placement. I have now added all the correct spaces in, and have compiled to the Add On Scenery directory.

Now when I go and fly at this airfield, I can tune tower/ground, I can request take off, but when I click [Taxi Parking Options] (Or whatever it says), it just remains blank with the only option being '[Taxi for takeoff]'.

So for some reason ATC is not recognising the parking spots.

Any known reasons for this?

Thanks.

What did you do about the naming of parking spots types and areas?

This needs one of the others to answer ;)

Hopefully one of the guys like Graham, George or Jim will be by shortly. I am just the programmer ;)

Did you really link the parking spots to the Taxiway?

I think the link is missing and the ATC will not found the way to the parking spots.

I have a taxiway link, with an apron link attached, and then off that link, I have the parking spots linked.

Incase this helps, when I load FS, I can choose any of the parking spots.

You can make a Picture of ADE and the Airport insert.
Maybe a Picture is helpfull for us - and you.

And please attach your file here - than otherone can test it.

All of your parking spaces are 5m radius, there are not many AI aircraft as small as this. I would suggest 6m as a minimum.

Yes George that would I say too.

But why gives the ATC him not the way to the Parking Spots.

Try this.
Changing 2 Parking Space at 6 Meters.

I would try it, but now im getting this odd error keep appearing everytime I try to load up a airport.

I know this isn't the right place for this query, but any ideas? [I have turned everything down to Minimal and it still appears]

What the Heck is this?

Did you load my ade file into ADE and compile it to the right place?

You must have into the Scenery Folder one Airport bgl.

I'm sorry, I didn't see that comment.

If you have requested take off, the only possibility is "Taxi for take-off options" followed by "Request Taxi - ...".
