• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 No runways offered by "Go to airport"

Hello folks.

I have noticed that for airports that have been moved (with Prokey) or created from scratch by ASE for fs9, 'Go to Airport' only offers 'Active Runway' for a starting position.

Selecting 'Active Runway' positions the aircraft at the airport datum point rather than a runway threshold.

Parking slots do show up correctly and can be selected.

Hovering the mouse over a runway threshold in FSNav does correctly identify the runway.

As FSNav gets its info from the sim I find it very odd that 'Go to Airport' doesn't show a selection of runways.

Not the end of the World, usually start from a parking slot anyway, but curious none the less.

Any thoughts?

Now there's a thing Guenther.

I do put visual and IFR holds on my runways (just to make it all look pretty) but, as I only ever fly online with VatSim so don't get involved with AI traffic, it never occured to me that the sim might want to know how to handle it.

I'll try putting some starts in.

Thank you very much, I'm pretty sure that you have cracked it
.

Hi,

This has little to do with AI Traffic - if you want runways included in the start list you must add start locations yourself. The only use for AI aircraft is that if you do NOT add them to a specific runway end, that end now has a slightly lower priority to be chosen for landing/takeoff.
