• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

Not Sure Where This Should Go. I'm using Substance Painter to Develop an Airport Help Please?

Hi all...

I need help. Big time. I've been having good luck working on an airport until my latest building has been bought into Substance Painter for texturing. This building has all the bells and whistles with an interior model for the model of the building as well.

I don't know what is going on here with substance painter. Does anyone in these forums use it to help guide me? I import the building, texture, and when it comes time to render to see how it will look, I get an "Not Responding" issue, and the program freezes and crashes. It is driving me crazy. Happens all the time with it. No, sorry, that's not correct. One time it went through to the iRay Render mode but otherwise every other time that error occurs, Or I get a critical error message from Substance Painter before I have to close it.

My system is as follows:

Ryzen 9th Generation 12 Core 3.8ghz Processor, can be run up to 4.6ghz
32gb of RAM
11GB nvidia RTX 2080 TI card
all liquid cooled if that matters

Other buildings it seems fine with. Its this building that it does it too, and I've built 4 out of the 7 building on the airport thus far without any other issues. Even another building has a shell of an interior since it is completely empty in real life, and modeled as such.

Thanks in advance for ANYONE's help with this. I appreciate it ALL very, very much. If admins need to move this to another thread where this belongs they may do so, as I said, I'm not sure where this one belongs.

For which sim is the model for and what version of SP are you using... on the bottom left-hand corner are there any messages from SP? What format was used to import the model?

Goo day Doug. I am using Substance Painter 7.2.3. I am importing into substance painter as FBX sir.

What I suggest is to separate the interior from the exterior of the terminal (making 2 models out of it,). Without knowing what the error is from SP, I can only guess what the problem is.
