• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hellu all!

Before I start grumbling I would like to point out that I have made and imported object to FSX successefuly before thus the reason of my confusion.
I've made an object in Sketchup texturing it with 3 different textures, and placed it with ADE inside a scenery. The manual I am following is this one:

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?2163-How-ToExport-Your-Sketch

Now the question is, why isnt my model showing in the airport scenery since I've checked everything step-step around 10 times.

Thank you for your efforts in helping me out! I have included the files you need to try to place it in FSX yourselfs and see where the error is made. Here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gv48d1f4dmjy9am/Things_You_Need.zip?dl=0

P.S if you want to use my model in your sceneries you may do so, but plz contact me here.

Hi,

Perhaps another scenery for that airport in a higher scenery layer includes an exclude for that area?

Not likely since I have disabled EVERYTHING and it is the only addon active.
That is the reason why I included the sketchup model and the textures used, so you may convert yourselfs and hopefully see what the issue is all about.

Give this a try. I did not look at the video, but I compiled it as a model and as a scenery object.

If possible, I think the mods should move this thread to the Airport design Editor forum.

You are more likely to get help much quicker over there.

Using MCX, the house that Rick attached loads into FSX SP2.

Using ADE 1.65, I added it to the library and then placed the object. While ADE shows the object at the desired location, it doesn't appear in FSX. I changed the drawing layer, but still no luck.

I'm no expert at ADE and may not have added Rick's BGL to the library correctly. I did place another ADE library object with no problems.

Rick's zip contains a folder called Textures, it needs to be called Texture.

You have the option to either create a library and add the library to ADE using LOM then position the object from the library in ADE; or to add the .mdl to ADE and position it.

This ia the result of the latter:

No idea why I cannot add the object to library, but your DIRECT method of adding the model itself worked! Thank you so much!
