• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I know the program is ment for building an airport,

BUT, can you place a object on an specified location in the world ??

like for me, i life in Belgium and at a city called "Ruien" we have a power plant in real life, guess what, you can't find it in FSX

Why do i want it in FSX?? : because when you fly around in real life in Belgium, it's a damm good spot to orientate yourself when you fly on map orientation.

i know ADE can do allot, i'm sure there is a way? :D

thx

Not sure if this helps. I built a city of Pilon Cuba with ADE. I just made a little Heli Port in the city and went from there building the City. Ive also used FSX KML to build citys useing landclass. But in ADE with what i said above yes what your asking is possible. Alos with ADE you have better control over the creativity of your project and object placeing.

ADE is an airport designer and editor. Therefore you need to be working with an airport. It is not a general scenery design too in the sense that you can start with a blank screen and create a bgl file of objects with no airport involved. That is possible but not in current versions. Having said that if the object can be related to a nearby airport (could be at some distance :)) then you could add it. So, in this case if you had an object that represents the power plant then place it in relation to the nearest airport by loading that stock airport into ADE
