• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Old-Newbee -some general stuff for FSX

I have prokey and FSUIPC4 installed. I have not been able to get my SDK installed properly. I've dabbled in 4 airports, careful to NOT change the stock airport. Have Win10 installed.

1. I have not been able to connect ADE to FSX, is this because of my problem with the SDK?
2. The ADE coords and the FSX coords don't agree - again the SDK is necessary?
3. ADE seems to be oriented to modern flying - I intend to use DR/maps and non airline requirements. Is ADE the correct choice for me?
4. I have 150 aircraft/ships installed - only 50 are FSX models - does this interfere with the SDK installation?(FS9-CFS2)
4. Is there a limit on the Models you have on your model list? I have about 75 of my own -prior to FSX - will look to creating a library after conversions.
5. Is it illegal to convert old original MS Flightsim bgls for use in FSX?

My stuff is primitive. at this point not interested in posting for public use. This is busy work to keep my mind active.

Thanks-

1, Connecting between ADE and FSX uses FSUIPC, not the SDK.
2. The SDK has nothing to do with coordinates - that's FSUIPC again.
3. ADE can create any kind of airport - we use it for airports from the 1960s.
4. FS9 aircraft do not affect FSX at all, nor on SDK installation.
4a. Don't know.
5. It's technically illegal, but if its for your own use MS has allowed it without complaint.
