P3DV3 Compatibiliy

Not quite sure what that means but ADE will be updated to target P3D v3 if it is available on the user machine. I do not have v3 installed yet but expect to in the next few days

Any update on this? I have installed the free version and playing around with it.I do want to go ahead and buy the Pro key. But ,i think, at the moment it cannot find P3dv3. Will pointing the folder manually help here? Or would this be taken care in the next update?

ADE works beautifully with p3dv3 bar just one aspect so far.... Not been able to make a direct 'live' connection to the sim.

Ok, guess i need to check out what's going on then. I've got a reg version (latest) of FSUIPC installed. I incorrectly assumed it just needed patching. Seems its 'ME' that needs patching;-)

Looks like I'll need a spot of help here then. This is the error I get when trying to connect:

FSUIPC Error #8 Incorrect version of Flight Sim

These are the file paths I have in setup, and they do look correct. They copied and pasted in to avoid input (me!) error:

FS Main Folder: F:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
BGL Comp Folder: F:\Prepar3D v3 SDK 3.0.10.14945\Environment SDK\BGL Compiler SDK
Shp2vec Folder: F:\Prepar3D v3 SDK 3.0.10.14945\Environment SDK

Hmm - this sounds like a FSUIPC install issue. I just literally downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC (4.946) and ran the installer. ADE does not need a registered version. Make sure that you have the latest version as shown here and also make sure that when you run P3D v3 there is an Addons menu entry with FSUIPC in it.

Just removed and reistalled new download of FSUIPC. Shows as 'FSUIPC Version 4.947c' in P3Dv3, but still getting the same error message when attempting to connect ADEX.

Now I know it should work, I'm impatient to get it working;-)

If it helps clairify anything, FSUIPC is running and connected to 'WideFS' successfully on a client PC

Are you actually using the current beta version of ADE that supports P3D v3?

Yes, but I see there are other issues too. There's definitely a problem with FSUIPC. Also, the app 'MakeRwys.exe' won't work either.

I'm currently in the process of rolling back to a previous backup version. Thank you 'Acronis True Image' ;-)

Sorry to have 'hijacked' this thread;-)

Rolled back to default installs of FSX, FSX-SE & P3Dv3.

All I've now got installed is FSUIPC and ADEX.

All is well;-) The install was a bit of a mess where I'd been trying to get FSX addons working in P3Dv3. Now its nice and clean;-)

Many thanks for helping.
