• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Sorry Canadian simmers, FSimStudios is now exploring new destinations in South America (But we will develop more Canadian airports in the future).

Announcing our next project: Panama City Tocumen International Airport - MPTO.

The scenery will be compatible with FSX, P3D v3 and P3D v4. It will include the new international terminal.
The development is now in the very early stages so do not expect the release anytime soon.

glad to hear, just take your time on this one and charge a bit more for it. Don't take this the wrong way but it seemed like you maybe went slightly backwards from CYYC to CYQB perhaps rushing CYQB out the door?. Maybe I am also wrong. In any case will still support you with MPTO and really look forward to the progress. I haven't been able to use any version of MPTO since I flipped to P3D back with v2 and onward so this is a great choice you made in my opinion.

This project is definitely not dead! Progress has been slow due to University and exams, but progress will be made in the next few weeks.
 
Quick update, I'll be working on Panama Pacifico International Airport (MPPA) as part of this product. So it will include both MPTO and MPPA.

MPPA was once a USA Military Base, now commercial and military airport, used mainly by Colombian low-cost airlines. This second scenery will not be made in as much detail as MPTO to allow a higher level of detail in the main airport.
 
Nice to see an update of this airport - and the addition of MPPA just makes it better. Are you going to add some of the surroundings?

I've no plans on adding the sorroundings yet. Even though I would like to do it, this requires lots of work and a pretty heavy investment on satellite images. Also, there's a good addon on SimMarket that adds lots of detail to the city without modifying the airports.

Really happy to see MPTO in development! Always loved hopping around Central America, and one of my favorite flights was MPTO-MHTG. THis sceneary is looking great already, keep up the good work!
