• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

problem whitch model converter

this is my problem, please help

Are there any warnings or errors above? If seems some file was not found, check if the log mentions anything about writing the X file above.

It appears the MDL file was indeed created on your Desktop? If so, I don't see any major problems. Does the MDL file not work properly?

Are you trying to create a model for FSX or FS9? Xtomdl will create an FSX model. Makemdl will create a model for FS9. You are using Xtomdl to create your model which is named FS9_0.mdl. If you are trying to use this model in FS9 I don't think that will work.

I'm saving it for FSX and give export object I tell the folder you have to save me and gives me error but not in the folder where I saved

Ok the error message "Error loading .Xfile: (location) is it a valid Flight Simulator '.X' file?" is telling you that Xtomdl found something that it did not understand in your model file and stopped trying to create an FSX model. The file that was created on your desktop is probably only 1k in size meaning it's empty. You are going to have to find out what is wrong with your original model and correct it in order for it to be compiled properly. The part of the message that says File No Found just means that Xtomdl did not find a valid model file to compile.

Can you send me your model? Then I can check if it is a problem with the model or something else.

It might be the X file that was made has some invalid text in it.

Another thing to test is export as x file from MCX and see if you can manually compile with xtomdl.

thank you very much to all I think I've fixed .
