• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,

I've updated ADE to version 1.37 via ADE check for update.
The frmsplash seems to freeze indicating a Pre-Load Ckecks of 1/4.
If I try to go to Settings, options and try to save, I have the following message :
La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet.

à ScruffyDuck.AirportDesignEditor.MainForm.optionsMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea)
à System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
à System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
à System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Then the only option is to close the application.

Thank you very much for your help.

Jean-Louis

PS : I've tried to update from V 1.35, then from 1.20, via fsdeveloper.com and via ADE.

Can I confirm that this is version 1.37.05 and not version 1.37.02?

If you are using a country setting that has the comma as decimal separator could you please try changing it temporarily to a point. Then see if ADE will load? You may need to try a couple of times - for some reason I have noticed that ADE needs a couple of starts to recognize the change in country settings. Then go back to your normal settings and see if it starts OK.

Everything seems to be ok now.
Thank you for your help.

Jean-Louis

Not a problem. Unfortunately we have not been able to track down why this happens. Reports so far seem to relate to French and French Canadian Settings. We will investigate it a bit further to see if we can find a sure fix for the next release.

We have found a possible cause for this and corrected it. I cannot replicate the original problem even after changing my country settings but the cause has been involved in similar problems in the past. I hope it will be fixed for the next release.
