Hello,

I have a problem to create animation train..
My train have 2 coach and that's the problem..
Untitled-2-6.jpg

The problems are:

1) Train is moving too fast on strait line and slow down when turn
2) The second coach always hit the first coach

I hope someone can help me to solve this problem. I attached my file also.Thanks.:o

Hi,

If you want it to move slower, you need to use more frames for the animation. The animation runs at 18 Hz, so that means 18 frames is one second.

I think I got what you want now.
1. I add more key frame up to 1023 frame (0-1023 =1024 frame)
2. You cannot animate group. You need to ungroup and attach the detail together. Rename the train to tick18_train01 and tick18_train02. and do the link of tick18_train02 to train01
3. Adjust pivot of the second train to the connection between both bogies.
4. Separate the line to up-route and down-route. When you need the second train for down route you need to copy to be tick18_train03 and tick18_train04. You need to copy BEFORE doing animation. If you don't you need to delete key frames later and do animation for the second tract.
5. Smooth the tract a bit, make the vertex in curve to be Bezier. If you don't do that, the train will have a jerky movement on the turn.
6. Now do the animation with train 01 by using Assign Controller-> Position: Bizier position to path constrain. Add path that you wish to animate.
7. Check the "follow" and check out the "loop". When you are done with that click on Trajectory and set up the frame to be end at 1023 and Sample to 50.
8. Click on collapse then the key frames will be generated.
9. Now you have first train animated then go on to animate the second train by rotating it to match the tract.
Hope you got what you need.
Regards,
Tic
(ps. I attached what I did. You need to animate the other tract by yourself.)
