• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

The text field that you have circled in your attached image is where the text file containing the scan results is stored. So this can be anywhere you like. Placing it in your documents folder is fine.

The problem is actually because of the text field at the top of the dialog, underneath where it says 'Path to Flight Simulator X install:'. In the attached image you have this set to the flight simulator folder in your documents. This should be set to your flight simulator installation folder, which is usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsft Flight Simlator X. Fixing that path should solve your problem.

Do you mean actual terminal buildings? If so then you'd first need to make the model of the terminal in something like GMax. Once you have that created and know the GUID of the model you can place it with FSX Planner using the scenery tool. Just insert a new scenery object and set the GUID of the scenery object to that of the model.

hey,
sorry i didnt respond for a while. i am currently downloading GMAX from turbosquid.com but i might need help. i currently want to do KSWF cause i hate how fsx did it. first of all i just downloaded i and i clicked run and it brought me to this unzip program. i clicked setup and it unzipped everything and then fraps came on and i cant find the gmax program. was it installed?
thank you

If the GMAX installer finished, then it should be available under your Program Files. If it is not there, then I'd check under the Add/Remove Programs (in the Control Panel) to see if it was installed.

i cant find it in eather. i did a search through my computer and some stuff came up so i clicked on the file folder and it gave my something to click on to turn it on and this error message came up. ill post a picture of it.

thank you

im having a real hard time with gmax so is there a way i can download terminals from avsim for example and just put them in there?
thank you

I would assume that there may be custom terminals that people have designed and are available on avsim. You can definitely try a search there and see what comes up.

Hey, Yeah, I was having the same problem. My url bar is correct, but when i click scan, Nothing happens, a box appears. I let it run overnight. Still nothing happened. What should i do? The box said:

Scan Progress

Folder:---
File:---

Thats it. What should i do?

Thanks!-FD-190

Can you post a screen shot of the dialog? That may help in figuring out the problem.

Thanks!

You can use a custom scenery object, like a terminal, in fsx planner. If that is what you are thinking, then yes that is possible. You just need to know the GUID of the object.
