• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Prokey evaluation dialog

I'm an old newbee and purchased Prokey. I have received my code and am instructed to select the appropriate button on the evaluation dialog and enter your details??

I have no clue where that is ...

I have FSX Gold, acceleration on a windows 8.1 machine. ADE version 178

I have moved this to a more appropriate forum.

Make sure ADE is not running

First confirm that you have downloaded the ProKey from here (direct link) http://www.mediafire.com/file/lb8a21r5egb7wki/ProKey.zip/file

Second copy the contents of the zip file into the ADE main installation folder. Over write any files if asked

and check that you have have Prokey.dll and Infralution.Licensing.dll in the Plugin folder inside the ADE main folder

Now start ADE and you should get the licensing dialog

Click Install License and enter your details exactly as on the license email

You should get a message confirming you are registered. If it says that the registration was not valid then carefully check your license details especially for leading or trailing whitespace

If the license dialog does not open then you need to go to the folder

..\Users\<yourUserName>\AppData\Local\ScruffyDuck and check if there is any file in the folder

If there is then delete the file(s) and repeat the process above
 
Thank you for the reply. I've followed the instructions and added the dlls to the Plugins file, overwriting existing files. I've started the program and now get his message after 3 tries.

OK, will do thanks, I removed the file in the C:/users etc and nothing appears now after a few tries. I've learned in the past NEVER delete without making a copy/backup
