• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Along with the proposal for a new runway, plans were also submitted for yet another new terminal. The airport authority cited a tried and tested method for passenger handling which has been accepted as a cost saving measure.

Do you have a reference to it in the Davis report - it's a big document!

But will it happen? The Roskill Commision reported on the needs of London's airport in 1970 In 2015 we've now got an new Davis report on the needs of London's airport.

Also 2009 David Cameron (now the Prime Minister) said: “The third runway at Heathrow is not going ahead, no ifs, no buts.” But then he's a politician!

I assume you mean Davies Commission Report?;)

Apparently it's being blocked already. I bet nothing will ever be built, but we'll spend many more millions on people sitting around and changing their minds.
 
Money could be further saved by omitting the 'phone boxes: these are the 2010s after all, nobody uses anything but a mobile these days! :rolleyes:
 
More importantly, who will be first to produce scenery that depicts work in progress, traffic queues, steaming passengers etc.?
 
Let's not get carried away. It's be at least another 5 years before and construction work might begin, and then that will take several years to complete.
 
I believe that the Davies report advocates a change in Marketing strategy within Autodesk so that Max is upgraded to better support flight simulation and issued free to '3RSDs' (3rd runway scenery developers).

Oh wait. I think I just dreamt that. :D
