• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA RAF Gütersloh_X

Okay, it's been a while again since I posted last screenshots - meanwhile, I changed from FSX to P3Dv4.2 and there's been a lot of new stuff to learn. I decided you to not annoy with any minor boring details here and there, but in the meantime, there are some few but interesting improvements. So many nice guys here and other forums helped me a lot in the past months to get a step further. Thanks to all for this support!
So from today, I will share again these steps with the community. All shots taken from P3Dv4.2, but FSX will for sure be concidered as well.
I have to add, there is really spare time in my life and I would like to request please to not ask for any release dates. I know about the long period of this scenery's development but you can see, it's not dead.

This "new era" I want to start with some overview shots showing how ETUO is fitting into the surrounding area. And how the new ground polygon technique works to imitate photoreal ground without using real photographs. Due to german law, this style was quite easier to work with without any government restrictions or payments.... Some detailed shots will follow shortly, but in no particular order.....so enjoy!

The groundpoly work is absolutely top-notch. This looks photoreal, hard to believe they are textured polygons. If I had four thumbs, they'd all point up.

Fantastic work Manfred! I'm very glad this project is still going. If you do need a hand with the APX file, give me a buzz.

Cheers,

Ahh Manfred, this really takes me back! So many amazing flights from/to this increadibly beautiful base (and I am still using FS9). I just love it... even more! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Outstanding!
Sergio.

@ sharmes6:
Thanks, is really still be needed. But first of all, I will finish all still few missing polygons to get a final correct line for taxis and parkings.

Today, I would like to show some few shots of the current night scene atmosphere. In v4, all relevant areas will be illuminated by dynamic lighting (aprons, shelter areas). Also relevant buildings inside will be equipped with dynamic lighting...

Well, the position of the lifted wing section of the Harrier seems to have to be a little corrected LOL.... Why does it catch my eyes only after I released the shots....grrrr....

Even with the wing flying a bit this looks like a must have scenery. Keep it up :D
