Never heard of it until somebody mentioned it on SOH. It's still in early access, but apparently already very usable. The development team consists of a handful people at best and the program is made in Unity.
While complex space simulators and in-depth simulations of procedures and systems are nothing new, as some Orbiter add-ons, Flight Gear's Space Shuttle and Space Shuttle Mission have proven, but this one is extremely interesting for its scope: Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.
I've long wanted a simuation that pays its dues to Gemini, which is more often than not overshadowed by the program that got lots of cool guys to the moon and back and this seems to scratch the itch really well, even modeling the turbopump whine during the ignition sequence of the Titan GLV.
If the menu items are any indication, the plan is to include historic missions as well as community-driven stuff (Apollo Applications, anyone?).
I'm not one to get excited over computer games (anymore), but this was an instant buy without regret. Especially as it's only $20 (at the moment).
However, I haven't yet had time to channel my inner [insert astronaut name here].
