rotate to user

You need to export a single object that will rotate with the camera. Don't do 2 trees at once.

So I usually only do a few of those types of effects.....

In GMAX in top view are the trees displayed horizontally?

Did you place the trees at 0 degrees heading in FS?

Hope this helps,

If vertical in top view in GMAX, once you tweak them you will only see them edge on in FS - that means they will be invisible when placed into FS at heading = 0. You can try placing them at 90 degrees into FS, but the program I use to place objects (Instant Scenery) doesn't like that very much. They will be visible in FS but invisible in IS!

Hope this helps,

try placing 1 tree in a new scene, only use 1 texture and make sure the
tree is in the middle of the scene. because you going to place this object anyways.

Tip: The rotate will not work with objects that have a high poly count.

Ah, I may have figured it out. You are using Max to create the X file, and then compiling it.

MDL Tweaker II only seems to work if the MDL is exported by *GMAX*. That's what it was designed for. Even MDL files exported by ModelConverterX do not work.

Hope this helps,

You need to place the rotate objects in the game by using the actual bgl.
Skip the last step and just place it.

I think your using a custom library maker. So skip that step...

Just create 3D trees anyways. This effect looks good on people.
I still think a static tree will look better in the long run....

Please can you tell me how to configure MDL Tweaker II "to tree"
(For Gmax) and how I create the bgl?
Thank you.

You use the Rotate to Aircraft tweak to create the sprite that always faces you. You can use any library creator program to create the BGL file, just as usual.
