• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

does your blue taxiway have a center line ticked?
what is that yellow background, is that a flatten?
try removing it to see what that gives you
if nothing works can you upload your ad4 file so we can take a look

Did you compile the airport and confirm that the new BGL file is in an active scenery folder? Are you sure there aren't earlier versions of this BGL file located somewhere else?

Are you running any payware AI traffic programs at all?
Can you upload your "ad4" file then so we can take a look at it

here's what i get and how i did it
i simply added the connection to the blue taxiway and disconnected it from the black runway taxi line
at runway 30 you have a taxiway i always draw an apron there as my pic shows,
i got all sorts of errors with your file as well, P3D/GP warnings and compile parameters
i never used the flatten and i did the default airport turnaround like you require in 2 mins with no errors

I forgot to add the holdshorts (red circles) are not touching the runway,
use fault finder.........

thank you for taking the time to help sort this out...its tricky when the taxiway is on the runway...i have a hard edge on my round turnaround that doesnt show in ADE...just after i compile...makes it tough to get rid of.

Just change the blue taxipath 'Type: Taxi' into a green taxipath 'Type: Path' and you will get rid of it. You can also delete the blue taxipath which runs parallel to the black taxipath 'Type Runway'. It is useless. So far I didn' t encounter any AI aircraft which would not backtrack on the black taxipath ...
Do not forget to link the loop to the black taxipath though. To avoid artifacts I would reduce the width of the green taxipath to 10 to 15 m.

And probably reduce the number of Taxi Points. The game isn' t called 'Who places the most blue taxi points will win' :) !

Your AI aircraft still will perform a nice and smooth U-turn.

That's because the nodes are so close together, redraw and reverse the direction of the ones with the jagged edges and it will disappear

Jan,
that's because he is using only a taxiway, if he changes it to a path he will only see a green line or nothing at all......
the drawing you show is similar to what i suggested in my first post LOL!!

Well Done :)
you are starting the right way with a small airport, you have proved you can solve issues,
this way you learn what ADE is capable of before you move onto a larger airport for more and bigger frustrations LOL!!!
