• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Runway ID no show in ADE

I've attached a screen grab from ADE (ver 0.178) pointing to the small box (shown by white arrow) at the end of runway 18. If I mouse-click that box on any other runway, I see a yellow dialogue box appear.
This one however is pink and I guess that's telling me there is an error.
This runway (RWY 18) doesn't show in the SELECT AIRPORT/CHOOSE RUNWAY drop-down in FSX when setting up a flight so I know I've done something wrong. The others do show.
The actual runway itself is there visually in FSX, just not as a choice in selecting it.
Hoping someone can help me fix this, probably something very simple.
Thanks in advance.

First quick look at your layout and using the Fault Finder, there are problems with "Runway Starts" - either missing or wrongly allocated.

Suggest you sort these out before going any further. Could be your problem.

And your picture shows that the ILS on that runway is locked ("Object Locked") and that's why the box is pink and not yellow. That has nothing to do with your problem, which will probably be solved by dealing with the Start locations, as raymk described above.

Problem solved. Yes, the fault finder using 'Starts'....not 'Runways ' showed the error. That's why I couldn't see the fault as I had ticked the 'Runways' box. Simple in the end so a big thanks to you for pointing me in that direction.

Glad your problems are solved.

Whenever I use the "Fault finder", I always have ALL of the boxes ticked. Cannot see any reason not to.
