• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

As one of the newly built and fast growing FS scenery developer teams in China, Skysoft Simulation is always devoted to making good quality scenery, reflecting the real world as much as we could to make you a better flying experience. The next airport done by S.S will be Nyingchi Mainling Airport, and it will be our first payware scenery. RNP Navigation data for some plugins with more than 100 fixes might accompany the release of the airport.

Here comes the data of the airport on Wiki.

Nyingchi Mainling Airport (simplified Chinese: 林芝米林机场; traditional Chinese: 林芝米林機場; pinyin: Línzhī Mǐlín Jīchǎng) (IATA: LZY, ICAO: ZUNZ) is an airport in Mainling, Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It is suggested to be one of the most challenging instrument approaches in the world, since the airport is in a winding valley.

Nyingchi Airport is the third airport that Tibet has put into operation. Built at a cost of 780 million yuan (96.18 million U.S. dollars), including investment by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), the airport is 2,949 meters above sea level, lower than the other two civil airports, with a designed annual passenger flow of 120,000.

Known as 'the world's most difficult airport for planes to reach', Nyingchi Airport is situated in the valley of Yarlung Zangbo River in the Southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, surrounded by over 4000m high mountains enveloped by clouds and fogs throughout the year. Planes have to fly through the narrow and winding river valley. The narrowest flight path is less than 4 km from one mountain ridge along the valley to the opposite one. According to meteorological data, there are just 100 days overall that are airworthy in the airport each year.

Certainly a great airport, but i fly only in FSX. Have you plans on releasing this airport also for FSX? Any updates on your last airport and its transformation for FSX?

Regards, Chris

PS: SInc eit is Payware i hope you can add some charts, especially for the RNP approach since it seems quite hard to get them anywhere else.

Very nice! I especially love the 3d concrete "pad" on approach! Very nice touch! And just incredible modeling skills with the wavy roof on the terminal :D

Looks great!, It's nice that developers are beginning to make more airports for China!

Warmest Regards,
James

Wow, I've never seen an airport with only one ramp. It must not be very busy... :)

Very nice, but if not in FSX I will only look at these pics and nothing more:(:(.....please remember that FS9 is "yesterday":eek:.....good job anyway!!!!:):) By the way, the black square at the end of the runway makes the runway look as if it´s floating above ground, as seen in the pic.....

Very beautiful airport.

I think you might want to convert it to FSX.
I just finished the tutorial for "Converting FS9 project to FSX" in Thai. If you'd like to have I can translate into English for you.

It is not so difficult to convert into FSX and use some material settings in Model Converter X and then you will get a FSX version.

Thank you and your work will help us a lot, please send us the tutorial via skysoftsimulation2011@hotmail.com . Thai sceneries are popular in our region, wish we can share the tricks of scenery making and make Asia a busier FS destination. Best regards:)

Great to hear that you are considering this using his tutorial! He recently released a Thai scenery using his methods and it looks great I must say. Can't way to see more Chinese airports done also. I hardly fly around Asia now because all airports are very far apart and I don't really want to have to fly over two hours.
