• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I wonder if anyone has the way to make slew mode less vicious. I found in Dev mode that I can use the keypad similar to FSX etc but one click and I am gone 50 meters or more. Is there a way to tone it down please?

A friend or mine has find that using the POV in place of keypad can smooth the translation.

I use an X-Box controller for slewing. (Don't ask me how I set it up  )

How, does one know if one is in slew mode? Or, when the sim is paused?

An on-screen reminder would be very useful.

I just use my stick. The X52 isn't great for it though as the centralizing mechanism requires too much force. I'm going to try my sidewinder again.

Much better with the FF2. Its much more precise.

Thanks I will try that and see what happens

Ben,

Do you have "force" on?

Good question George. I didn't see the setting for it, but the resistance is definitely there. I'm not getting vibrations etc when I fly (but I don't really like that anyway) I think I'm going to stick with the FF2 as its much smoother than the X52. Its a shame though, as the X52 throttle is nice and works well.... Actually, I wonder if I can use the X52 throttle and the Microsoft FF2...

Hello:

I'm wondering if Don has the ability to make SlewMaster work with MSFS-2020 via SimConnect ? :scratchch

Years ago, before Instant Scenery 3 switched from Joystick X-Y controller to Mouse for input, I bought and used SlewAssist for FSX (...not sure if it also used SimConnect ? ):

UPDATED: URLs for Slew Assist and a newer utility by Don Grovestine (aka "gadgets") called "SlewMaster":
