• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Struggling with Moving Map

I am now struggling for displaying navaids on my ND, the airports, VORs, NDB, intersections that are around my aircraft according to the ND range.
I used the code in NearestWaypoints.js and it works perfect and MUCH faster than in FSX, this is good. The problem I have is when I request a type of navaids within a given range, I get results and if I change the range and request again, the results remain the same. Whatever I change in the request, the results remain the same as the first time.

I am not sure I am clear. I can share code to explain better if needed.

Thanks for your help,
Eric

I have been scratching my head for days and days before understanding the system is broken... I did the same test with the A32NX from FBW and it has exactly the same problem: if you switch on the airport display on the ND (pressing the ARPT button) with a range of 10 NM, you will see some airports located 10 NM around your aircraft. If you increase the range, you still see the same airports, even if there are much more...
Here is an example of what I see at Paris Charles de Gaule LFPG:

Do you really think there are so few airports around Paris?

Conclusion: I believe there is a real problem in the querying system of the internal database. I hope Asobo will fix this. If anyone can tell me if this problem has been reported, I would be glad to know.

Thanks,
Eric
