FSX taxiway surface

Hello,

I did use the ground poly wizard of model converter to create my bgl's of may taxiways and runways.

But problem ist, that if I add my runway/taxiway to fsx, that I get the effect of unpaved surface. But my taxiway should be have a surface of asphalt.
Is there any possibility to add this?

Thanks

regards comy

Hi Comy,
use ADEX for drawing the taxiways and runways, the ground polys you designed with MCX will lay on top of it so you get the image of the ground poly and the function (asphalt etc.) of the ADEX taxiways/runway.
Simply make the ADEX ways a bit smaller than the ground polys and they cannot be seen.

Hope that helps.

Hi

Thanks for answering. Yes that a possibility, about I have thought too.
But I can't open my ground poly objects in ADE, so I have to do it by try and error, because the taxiways of my airport have other positions than fsx default.
But if it the only possibility, I will do.

Thanks

regards comy

You can take a screen shot of your airport and add it as a background image in ADE. Then follow the picture.

Or use the Connect button to see your FS plane in ADE, allow your plane to taxi along the photoscenery taxiways, and create the ADE taxiways as you go.

Hope this helps,

Yes, that really help:) I didn't work really much with ADE. But this make it easy.
Thanks
