• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Textron Citation M2

Hello everyone :), well, one day I decided to simply create an aircraft, and quickly and to the point, I suggested to myself that it would be a Citation M2, light and small aircraft, and also general aviation, an area that I really like.

With the help of Hiroshi Igami I managed to finish the first phase of the aircraft myself, I'm still not sure and I don't even know if I can make it available for download, since I'm still checking some things, not to mention the difficulty I'm having to create a virtual cockpit :rotfl:

Well, it also works in FSX, I think all 2004 aircraft work in X... speaking in a rough way, but you need to convert the textures to DXT5, because the aircraft is invisible.

Now in this first phase what is missing are doors to animate, like the luggage, passenger and some of the rear of the aircraft, finish texturing some small details and I imagine that for the first phase only.

For the second phase I will need to learn to make 3d cockpits, I even learned to apply gauges in my panel, but the cockpit itself does not appear in the simulator in the VC camera, this gives me problems :banghead:, but at the moment I am producing a 2d panel for the first phase.

ignore the fact that the wing on the back is a little misaligned with the other, the print was taken while I was specifically testing pivots on this part

looks really awesome... the citations allways have been my favorite Aircraft... Glad you were givin it a go on the M2...
hopefully you'll resume work on it and finish her up... so it will once be flying in other sims where FS2004 nostalgic pilots (as myself) enjoy it to their fullest.

Can't wait to see more progress on it! Keep on going! Really appreciate your work!

I will continue yes, basically everything is ready, just need to correct flight dynamics, make some improvements and also ports as said in the text and sounds also for this one by the FJ44-1AP-22 engine, I imagine that by next month I will be able to launch it, oh and finally the virtual cockpit, which will be a challenge to do it, but thinking about going through all these obstacles, maybe it's the most "simple"...

I don't intend to make payware, I imagine that the quality of the model is good, but it is not necessary to be payware, a freeware is cooler, I might just need a video card since I use integrated video, but making better models, because I am a 15 year old teenager, later I will correct my age in the profile.

I will also launch a paintkit, I imagine that the community makes several textures, even if it is a little hidden, I imagine that the FS2004 community is still standing but not so much sample, good flights!

Next up to go for you, could possibly be the Citation Latitude / Longtitude... for the level in designing you're allready up with only 15 Age... that's impressive what you did there on the M2... very cool...
Keep on working on it. Can't wait to see more progress on it! Following with big interest there...
