• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Texture not importing from Blender to MSFS

Hey there!

I am having trouble with my textures importing from Blender to MSFS. This is my first project and its been about 3 days of no sleep and constant youtube tutorials and web searching, but I cant seem to find out the reasoning as to why my complete texture library wont show. When I create a project, everything loads in find, but 90% of the project is pink. Please help!

The sim's compiler cannot find the textures. Is this for MSFS 2024? You could zip the project folder, upload it to the cloud, and give a link here. Otherwise we're just guessing. You could also include the .blend file.

Good morning to you! First I want to say thank you for taking the time out to help me! I have everything pulled up in Dev Mode after dropped the folder into my files, but now I know what word to search to find the Staples Center. Did it change? Or am I trying to pull it up incorrectly?

I was able to get the model to come up, I had forgot to click on "Build ALL". Thank you so much for the help. Is there anyway that I could make the windows a bit more glossy, or transparent/see through? Im thinking that maybe the translation is different from blender to msfs once its placed in the sim.
 
I think window materials should have the roughness set to nearly zero. And transparent windows need an alpha of about 0.1 or less. The metallic value might need to be 0.5 or higher.
