• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Texture solution ?

Hello all ModelConverterX users and mr. @arno
I have completed my work on an airplane fully with blender. My final blender textures lead me to have a bad effect on the sun's reflection. Converted the plane with model converter x now I see the plane perfectly, much much better, but obviously I don't have the animations. How can I use modelconverterx textures with my animations? can I edit the GLTF file? or that BIN? Can anyone help me?
Thanks Giovambattista

Hi,

Which format did you use to import into MCX? At the moment exporting animations to glTF is not yet allowed, but for certain formats it will be added soon.

Sounds like some material setting has changed, you can probably tune that in blender as well.

Hi,

The intend is that material settings are kept when you import a glTF and that they should be the same on export again. So you might have found a bug there. If you can tell me which settings were lost I can have a look.

i am unable to establish the lost settings, using blender for my experience, i have problems with the brightness of the sun, which seems to hum on some materials, seems to vibrate the light, an effect which is not normal. maybe i need to map something in the shader editor? about model converter importing my (internal gltf) I lose all animations and also some parts are deformed
