• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

coming from another tread
props rotate until frame 50 then they comebak to zero at 100 :scratchch
they rotate correctly in max but get weird on the .mdl

i have most of surfaces working nicely but looks like propellers are kinda tricky
yes i checked various treads before i came in here, did the keyframing the assigning, the attaching

...let's bring the coffee

edit: im on max '14 / sdk 3.4.14.18870 for .X
until now i found MCx (XtoMdl Sdk 1.4.4747)
xtomdl-ui, same results.

so i asume like im missing something in the right keyframing or animation

yes, propeller should came back at last frame. it's like clock.
set frame 0 for 0 degree, 25 for 90 degree, 50 for 180 degree, 75 for 270 degree and 100 for 360/0 degree. set the animation manager for propeller "propX_still", start at 0 and end at 100.

just make sure 0-100 frame all rotation has same direction (no turning opposite dirrection) in max.

Did you make it as follow:
Keyframe 0 rot=0, keyframe 50 rot=180 and keyframe 100 rot=0?
In that case i assume it rotates backwards after 50 because it is the same "distance" forwarda as it is backwards. If you at keyframe 25 rot=90 and keyframe 75 rot=270 it should work.

Is this the problem you were getting at?

did 0 to 100 framing 180° to -180° degrees an worked out!!! xtomdl-ui middled out smoothly

IT WORKED !!! wohoo

BIG thanks to you guys

Nice modeling. What engine for what plane? Looks like a 9 cylinder radial, like the R1820.
